2001: The MVE-STA gearbox is an improved, strengthened and well
developed design, replacing the old Hewland STA. (Now discontinued).
Mid Valley Engineering (MVE) in Arizona USA,
developed their own version of this Hewland transmission, which continues to
dominate the American Trans-Am series and is used in the Pratt and Miller
Corvette C5-R.
MVE now assembles and services the latest
specification MVE-STA gearboxes at their USA base, whilst Hewland supplies all
the latest major components.
