Specification:
An excellent universal transaxle, used by many constructors! This transmission has a high specification list, being sequential, six speed and semi dry sump. The gears and shift mechanism are of the highest quality. The layout gives ease of service and simplicity.
 
Since 2002, this gearbox has been used by the British based Mosler teams. Boss Martin Short: `Hewland's NLT gearbox is fantastic; essentially a fit-and-forget item`.
 
The NLT also forms the basis of the Michelotto Ferrari 360 transmission.
 
Normal Use: Various GT / Sports cars, including LMP 675.
Recommended max. engine torque: 500 lb.ft=69 kg.m
Weight: Aluminium: 67 kg.
Weight: Magnesium: 59 kg.
Casing material: Aluminium (Magnesium option).
Lubrication: Splash or pump with distribution system. Semi-dry sump.
Differential: Powerflow.
Gear Selection: Sequential.
