New Plant Investment Hewland Engineering Ltd, the 46 year old racing transmissions company, can today announce a programme of new investment in plant and personnel for the immediate future. Around £600,000 is due to be spent in 2004 on increased turning, milling and grinding capacity, to an already impressive facility. MD William Hewland: `We have a very strong record of investment in recent years, ever since moving to our `new` factory in 1997. Nowadays we have some very valuable clients, especially in WRC and GT who enjoy a great level of service and quality that we must underpin and reinforce. This latest raft of expenditure is aimed at increasing our abilities on several levels, whilst also bringing some sub-contract work back in-house`.
